306th PHILIPPINE COAST GUARD AUXILIARY SQUADRON

The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) is composed of civic spirited individuals who devoted time, resources and skills in the pursuit of the Coast Guard mission. The PCGA is a vital force multiplier that aids the Philippine Coast Guard in the enforcement of safety standards, in search and rescue missions, in conservation awareness campaigns and youth development programs.

The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) was created in 1972 as a volunteer organization with the purpose of assisting the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in their operations. Although a volunteer civilian organization, the PCGA uses a military structure for organizational purposes. Like other volunteer sea rescue organizations around the world, it performs non-military and non-police activities in support of its national navy or coast guard. These endeavors include search and rescue, environmental protection, disaster relief, community service, marine safety, giving vital/classified information and organization services.

306th PCGA Squadron, organized to carry its Mission and Functions. For eight (8) years operation, this organization carried-out its mission and functions specifically on the protection and preservation of environment as a general, social services such as medical, dental, relief distribution, youth development and search and rescue, aside from assisting the PCG personnel on the conduct of their official mission.

The 306th Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron was awarded by Vice Admiral Danilo A.
